He also changed the screen on my ipod touch which I thought was impossible. Faced with a blank screen on my MBP, I was dreading the cost of purchasing a new Mac and weighing the implications of having to update all my software to whichever OS was dished out to me in the process. Fortunately, Keith at Appel assured me that there was still plenty of life left to my MBP, and a week later, the laptop was returned to me as good as new, with a reconditioned logic board, a new (and much larger) HDD, extra RAM, a spare battery and a replacement case (the original was damaged around the power connector), for a very reasonable cost.
