Helpful assessment that replacing faulty memory heatsink on PowerMac G5 was problematic. As a result decision made to purchase a new iMac rather than go for a risky repair. It’s always the same, a problem occurs or something isn’t working correctly but you carry on trying to fix it not wanting down time!!! If I contact someone to fix it they will charge and then there’s the time to fix the problem. You think! I have learnt after many occasions like this, the first port of call is simply email Appel, quite often any problems are simple to fix and require advise.
