iPad Mini with badly cracked screen was challenging to resolve as internal cables were damaged as a result of damage as well as a short on the main board. This would normally have been uneconomic to repair but our engineers were able to resolder and repair the board & keep the cost under £100 for the total repair.

My iMac died. I rushed it over to Keith at Appel who diagnosed a dead power supply. He ordered one for delivery the next day and so I had the machine back within less than 24 hours. I was very impressed. Then disaster struck – it died again the same day. Back to Keith the following morning. He spent at least two hours dismantling the machine to sort the problem – and didn’t charge! Fantastic service. iMac 21.5” replaced faulty PSU & battery Richard, Wolverhampton, West Midlands

Keith’s service was outstanding; not only did he rescue all my valuable photos and documents from my iMac’s hard drive which had virtually seized up, he also did it whilst I waited and I was able to take away the files in a mounted caddy drive. In addition to this he was able to let me leave his offices with a super secondhand MacBook which was a useful short-term solution as I had no working computer at that moment. Independent service. Appel gives the sort of service one dreams of. When my old G5 Mac died on me on a Monday morning, a quick phone call to Keith and I was off to Telford to see if this boffin could fix it. He couldn’t – but he did rescue all my data and was incredibly helpful with all the discussion then to buy my fabulous new iMac. Brilliant service, and also really helpful after-care conversations. Had my 27″ iMac hard drive replaced and an update in RAM from 4 to 8gb. Also purchased a used Apple track pad at the same time. Keith replaced the battery in my 2015 Mac Book Pro and had the whole job completed in less than 24 hours. From the first phone call, he was polite, kept me informed of what was happening and when I met him was a thoroughly good chap. The quality of the workmanship was superb. iPhone 5C dropped in sink full of water. Stripped down and there is catastrophic damage to logic board. This unit is scrap.

I took my old battered iMac to Appel for a screen repair, hoping to get another 6 months out of it. I dropped my iMac off with Keith and within a few days it was back in my house complete with new screen and new outer casing. It looked like it was fresh out of the box.
