I had some major problems with the logic board of my MacBook Pro. Apple wanted more than the cost of a new one to fix the problem. Contacted Keith who sorted it all out, replaced the logic board, saved my data and was a great help and all at a more realistic price than Apple quoted. He also changed the screen on my ipod touch which I thought was impossible. Any Apple related problems then Keith should be the first person you contact. MacBook Pro repair. Slow running and system hiccups. Checked applications running and processor overhead to find a number of virus protection apps & utility apps were impacting performance. The newer versions of OS X Mavericks & Yosemite are having even more problems with 3rd party utilities and virus checkers. Providing you keep your OS up to date they should not be necessary. Deleted all these utilities and everything running faster now.

Outstanding service from Keith. Out of the blue my iMac’s hard drive started to fail. Within 24 hours Keith had diagnosed the fault, replaced the drive, upgraded the OS and transferred all my data – all done at a more than fair price. MAcBook Pro 13″ has wireless dropping off frequently. Checked all internal components and HD failing. Replaced HD, installed virgin OS X and all works fine. Migrated client data and back to square one. Investigation ongoing.

My iMac died. I rushed it over to Keith at Appel who diagnosed a dead power supply. He ordered one for delivery the next day and so I had the machine back within less than 24 hours. I was very impressed. Then disaster struck – it died again the same day. Back to Keith the following morning. 15″ MacBook Pro repair – running slow. Will be speeded up with upgrade of memory to 16GB and new 1TB SSD. This Mac upgrade with a good internal clean will make dramatic improvement.

Sold refurbished iMac 27″ including transfer of all data from old 17″ iMac running Mac OS X.4. This requires OS on original to be updated to 10.6.8 and all programs updated to run on newer OS, especially iTunes & iPhoto. Then the data can be transferred successfully.

Appel gives the sort of service one dreams of. When my old G5 Mac died on me on a Monday morning, a quick phone call to Keith and I was off to Telford to see if this boffin could fix it. He couldn’t – but he did rescue all my data and was incredibly helpful with all the discussion then to buy my fabulous new iMac. Brilliant service, and also really helpful after-care conversations. 15″ MacBook Pro 2007 Aluminium model not booting. Diagnosed as new logic board required and client considering options.

Client just called and has installed Yosemite on a 6 year old Mac. Appel do NOT recommend installing Yosemite on any Macs over 2 years old. This client is fetching his MAcBook in today and all that can be done is to erase the hard disk 7 install a compatible OS for his machine.

Being an international picture agency where our photographers batter around apple macs more than the average user, when things go wrong they always happen at the wrong time which usually results in us needing an instant repair doing – sometimes a matter of hours before we jet off to our next destination.
