Had my 27″ iMac hard drive replaced and an update in RAM from 4 to 8gb. Also purchased a used Apple track pad at the same time. My iMac recently developed a fault. The first “port in a storm” was to contact Appel who diagnosed a hard drive malfunction, and recommended a replacement.
