We have gone to Appel for support twice and both times we have received exceptional service. We’ve had a MacBook repaired and when another MacBook could no longer carry on we were fortunate that Appel could supply a refurbished laptop. Highly recommended. Even the best of equipment requires routine servicing and performance checks, occasionally a solution to software glitches or repairs to physical damage. My experience is that your first port of call for any Apple issue should be to Keith Cox and his associate Sulaiman Amin at Appel.

In the tedious aftermath of having my emails hacked and having got myself up and running again with the help of my service provider, I thought it prudent to have my MacBook checked for embedded threats. In these times of rapid change I was relieved to find that Appel, with Keith still in harness, continues to offer the help that I needed with the courtesy and competence previously experienced over a number of years.

Apart from the check for viruses it was soon apparent that my MacBook, dating back to early 2015, required a new battery. I had not heeded the messaging that this needed attention  and I was shown a similar battery which had literally exploded. This was a persuasive image. Such hard evidence in the context of a relaxed conversation in the calm of Appel’s office cum workshop instils confidence. While there was no suggestion that my ancient model would not be operational again it was clear that I might consider it worthy of retirement.

Computers and all that goes with them represent an arcane world to many people. For the lay man it is refreshing to have Keith and Sulaiman’s calm expertise brought to bear in solving a seemingly intractable problem. I moved forward resolved to acquire a new machine and, without pressure, I was offered several options in the context of Apple’s continually improving hardware and operating systems.  This is another significant side to the services offered by Appel, supplying sound, used computers with the support you know will be there should it be needed.

Great service, had a new battery fitted for my old Mac book pro, did a great job and at a reasonable price. All done in just over a hour. Also checked to make sure my computer was running to optimum and removed software that was no longer supported and draining memory. Would definitely recommend and will return in the future for any repairs or upgrades
